The most glamour and elegant event of this spring is certainly the Cannes Film Festival. Great location, great new films, great actors and finally great outfits!
This film festival always gave us such a wonderful fashion's choices, because it's la croisette! You can't be fashionably unprepared for this event!
Even a tomboy as Michelle Rodriguez, who I personally don't like so much, was so gorgeous with her black Zuhair Murad dress with de Grisogono jewelry.
The judges of the festival are the directors Joel and Ethan Coen, the actresses Rossy de Palma, Sophie Marceau, Sienna Miller, the singer Rokia Traoré, directors Guillermo del Toro, Xavier Dolan and actor Jake Gyllenhaal.
At the opening the most beautiful, of course, were the women (and also Jake!). Sienna chose a Balenciaga dress, which is so chic.
At the night the judges were beautiful! Starting with the spanish actress Rossy de Palma who wore this amazing black dress with lacy details o the shoulders. Just gorgeous!
Sienna Miller, is one of the actresses that has a really elegant sense of style which I appreciate. That evening she wore this navy blue Lanvin gown with a black ribbon on her shoulder.
Sienna then wore this wonderful dress from the Sonia Rykiel pre-autumn/winter 2015 collection, accessorised with a Bulgari clutch and jewellery. Omg, I loved this outfit so much!
Sophie Marceau chose a Alexandre Vauthier Couture dress from the spring/summer 2015 collection.
Doutzen Kroes wore an amazing white Atelier Versace gown with Chopard jewellery.
Can we take a moment just to admire how handsome her dj husband is? Sunner James is so.. WOW!
Can you imagine how cute their children are??
Karlie Kloss chose this white and silver Atelier Versace dress, which is a mixture between a classic gown and a taillure trousers. So cool!
The Oscar winner Julienne Moore wore a Giorgio Armani Privè dress with Chopard jewellery and the second day she chose a burgudy velvet one shoulder dress.
Naomi Watts wore this amazing Elie Saab dress with Bulgari jewellery.. Elie never let you down with his creations.
The second night she wore a beautiful black dress by Ralph Lauren with Bulgari bag and jewels, and Jimmy Choo shoes.
For the photocall with Matthew McConaughey she wore Peter Pilotto dress and Jimmy Choo sandals, in the evening at the premiere of "Sea of Trees" she chose a delicate Giorgio Armani dress.
Natalie Portman matched with the red carpet with her simple but elegant red dress by Dior.
Natalie, at the premiere of "A Tale of Love and Darkness", chanelled her inner bon ton mademoiselle and she wore this nice Dior gown with De Grisogono jewelry.
She also chose to wear this Rodarte dress and Dior shoes.
Cate Blanchett wore breath-taking gown from the Giles autumn/winter 2015 collection.
Lupita Nyong’o dared a green dress by Gucci and Chopard jewellery. The details of little pink flowers on the shoulders are so cute and polished.
The next day at Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc, she wore an amazing white Oscar de la Renta chiffon dress. One of the most elegant!
Speaking of bright colours, Charlize Theron rocked this yellow gown by Gucci. Simply a goddess!
Miranda Kerr wore a pink gown by Emanuel Ungaro which showed her long and perfect legs at the Pink and Black Magnum Party.
The next day she wore a David Koma dress.
Rachel Weisz chose an unconventional black jumpsuit by Narciso Rodriguez to promote the film "The Lobster". I loved her choice!
Diane Kruger wore the cutest light blue dress by the latest collection of Dolce & Gabbana with Jimmy Choo's shoes for the photocall of her upcomin film "Maryland".
Salma Hayek wore a thight black dress with red roses in the morning but later she chose an Alexander McQueen gown for attending the "Tale of Tales" premiere.
And here we are to my favourite: Emma Stone. In the morning for the photocall of "An irrational man", she wore this black chantilly lace dress by the genius Oscar De la Renta completing her outfit with four hoop ear cuffs. So Cute!
Later she chose Dior gown, a Jennifer Meyer stud, and a Repossi choker. So dreamy!
The festival was always criticize for not celebrating enough women in the film industry,in fact in 2012, there was not even a woman director in the competition, which is really sad.
For that the Cannes film Festival, this year chose to celebrate women making event the opening for "The year de la femme".
It had also organized UN's Women’s panel discussion on gender equality, where a lot of women could express their opinion about the sexism in the business.
Buuuut, did you heard the news? The Cannes Festival banned flat shoes, forcing all women on the red carpet to wear heels. I mean, if you're on a red carpet a good and gorgeous pair of heel, I think, it would be the perfect choice, but why the festival should put a dress code for shoes?? Why a woman attendant should not wear a glamourous pair of flats under her long dress?
Moreover, I didn't expect something like that, even when the Festival organized also a UN's Women's panel!
I really don't understand.
However, putting aside this and focusing on the main purpose of the festival.. Can you imagine be there, in that glamourous location full of culture and at the same time inspiring?
Well, I could!
That's all for now
Talk to you soon
