Amal who?

Amal.. yeah.. Amal.. I already heard this name? Is she a model? An actress? Mmm no, I can't remember.
This is what you'd got when you ask if someone knows who Amal Alamuddin is.
Yes, she has a name that is hard to remember but, come on, she married George Clooney!

To me Amal is not just the woman who was able to catch the hard to get bachelor George Clooney but most of all because she's an incredible mole model for young girls.

Amal was born in Beirut, Lebanon, daughter of a university professor and a journalist. When she was 2, during the Lebanese civil war, her family decided to move to London where she gained the british citizenship. She grew in the south of London and then she graduated in Arts in Jurisprudence at Oxford, then she studied for a master of Laws at the New York University of Law, which is one of the most important university in the world. While studying she worked for a judge of the Supreme Court of US and in 2004 she also worked for the International Court of Justice. And this is just the beginning..
Amal worked in the office of the Prosecutor at the UN Special Tribunal for Lebanon and at the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia. Later in 2013 she was called for some UN commissions as adviser of Kofi Annan and she was involved as lawyer for high profile cases as the Cambodia or WikiLeakes ones.

In January Amal represented Armenia before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg in order to present the case of the Armenina genocide.

Amal is not just a politically and socially active lawyer, she's also a fashion icon.
Since she married George Clooney, Amal flaunted really elegant and chic outfits. She can wear an absolute casual outfit in the morning and transform herself in a perfect socialite in the evening.

From Stella McCartney two-piece in the morning to a floral black and white with a touch of red dress by Alexander McQueen.

From "pretty in pink" to a lavander Giambattista Valli tailleur.

She can be so cute in a white and light blue dress by Miu Miu with her husband by her arm, but at the same time she can be so elegant with her black dress coming out from the Supreme Court of London.

When she put herself in the George Clooney's wife she can be the perfect supportive wife with her stunning long dresses like at the premiere of Tomorrowland in a gold Maison Margiela dress or at the MET Gala in an amazing red dress by John Galliano.

For her wedding week end she rocked a lot of perfect outfits and she never got one wrong!
She wore an amazing red long dress by Alexander McQueen Resort, a classic black and white striped Dolce & Gabbana dress.

Amal chose this stunning white and floral macrame embroidered Giambattista Valli minidress and for the civil ceremony she wore a beautiful white Stella McCartney white two piece suit with black detail nd a floppy super chic hat.

For the formal wedding she was dressed by the master of haute couture Oscar de LaRenta! It was simple but traditional and beautiful!

She's a bad ass woman! I wish I was her!
I'm currently studying to have a work like hers and if I had half of the good luck I would be the happiest person in the world.
I think that she seem perfect.. politically active with an amazing job but at the same time she can enjoy the glamour aspects of her husband's life.
WOW!

I think that she can be a perfect role model for young women like me... Amal was able to pursue an important career and she married one of the most attractive actor in the world. If you want you can have it all, apparently. Just look at her!
Tell me.. Who is your role model right now? Who is inspiring you?

That's all for now

Talk to you soon

On the steps of the MET

Yes! Here it is!
Finally the MET Gala arrived! My favourite event! It's ages I keep admiring this event and its gorgeous dresses!
This year the Costume Institue Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York is dedicated to Chinese fashion! The exhibit is called "China: through the looking glass", and it's theme of this year's gala. the inspirations should be the chinese art and artifacts and the dresses should interpreting chinese culture from the western point of view. I was so curious about this theme, because it's not so simple being original but not boring and banal. I have to admit that I expected a little more of Chinese culture.
There were such good outfits that I really don't know where to start!

Sarah Jessica Parker bet on a simple H&M dress and an amazing and flashy hat by Philip Tracey, very "oriental"!

Ivanka Trump, the business woman par excellence, wore this gorgeous blue and white gown by Prabal Gurung. So elegant!

Emily Ratajkowski aka EmRata was so chic with her custom Topshop white dress. I really appreciated her look, she looked so classy.

Kerry Washington wore a fairy tale pink Prada gown, she seemed a modern Cinderella!

Dianna Agron wore a delicate white gown by Tory Burch with some embroidered  little red herons. Dianna chose a Tory Burch gown, bag and shoes with Fred Leighton jewelry.

Hailee Steinfeld chose a simple but beautiful red Michael Kors dress, Beladora Jewels and she carried an Edie Parker clutch for the gala. Simple but nice.

Elizabeth banks decided to bet on a light blue Michael Korse cut out dress with a Lee Savage clutch, a Kara Ross and Melissa Kaye Jewelry rings and Jennifer Fisher Jewelry earrings.

Diane Kruger wore a Chanel Haute Couture see through trousers. I really liked this look because it's unconventional, modern and classic at the same time.

Emma Roberts wore a Ralph Lauren Collection custom emerald silk charmeuse one-shoulder evening dress with a Art Deco belt, Monique Péan earrings, Edie Parker clutch, Ralph Lauren Collection shoes and bracelet. Simply gorgeous!

The Fifty Shades of Grey's Anastasia aka Dakota Johnson chose a mini sparkly black and silver dress from Chanel with Bally heels. Look at ther bag: it's a a small purse in the shape of a Harajuku girl, so cute!

Uma Turman opted for a white long gown by Atelier Versace with Alexandre Birman shoes and Anna Hu earrings. A goddess!

Sienna Miller chose something unusual but elegant. Sienna wore a sparkly dark red trouser suit with black details by Thakoon with custom Jacob & Co earrings and carrying a Rauwolf clutch.

Rita Ora chose a Tom Ford red silk dress. The high neck with elegant neck tie, the form fitting scarlet silk and sweet ruffled shoulders is really beautiful.

Adriana Lima wore a burgundy Marc Jacobs dress with some rhinestone on the front with Chopard jewelry and a Judith Leiber clutch. The contrast between the colour of her dress, the makeup and her eyes is amazing!

Chrissy Teigen beautiful as always chose a St. John gown, Fred Leighton jewelry, with a Judith Leiber Couture clutch. I love the dark orchids pinned in her hair!
Let's pass to my favourite ones:

Rosie Huntington-Whitley is always on point. Last night she wore a cut out and shaped Atelier Versace dress. She was incredible.

Other british girls who wore beautiful dresses were the supermodels Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevingne and her sister Poppy.
Jourdan opted for a special burgundy custom Burberry dress with Christina Louboutin shoes.
She was representing Burberry accompanied by Games of Thrones' Sophie Turner and Hold Back the River's singer James Bay.

Cara Delevingne wore an amazing black Stella McCartney outfit, sandals, and clutch. She was covered of cherry blossom tattoos all over her arms and chest. I loved it!

Her sister Poppy, instead wore a red Marchesa dress covered with flowers on the upper part and an Edie Parker clutch.

Let's pass to Selena! Selena Gomez was stunning in her Vera Wang white dress.  Once again I loved the white orchids in her hair!

Vanessa Hudgens chose perfectly her H&M red and black dress! Beautiful!

Anna Wintour's daughter Bee Shaffer opted for a gorgeous burgundy Alexander McQueen gown. The details of the flowers all over the dress are really nice. So chic!

I would never thought I could say that Kim Kardashian would have been one of my favourite outfit from the MET Gala! Never! However, she surprised me!
I literally loved her dress! Kim wore a Peter Dundas for Roberto Cavalli dress. Just WOW!

And here she came! The Queen.. Beyonce!
She rocked her Givenchy dress like nobody else! STUNNING!

Let's take a second just to admire how handsome was my beloved Colin Firth in his Tom Ford tuxedo.

And here we are... the big NO NO of the night: Anne Hathaway. She wore this hoodie golden dress by Ralph Lauren with Benedetta Bruzziches clutch, and Repossi jewels. I'm sorry Anne, but NO!

Even if the main host Anna Wintour prohibited all the social media use, some of the guests broke the rules and post some "simple photos with friends" on Instagram.

(Jourdan Dunn, Behati Prinsloo, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevigne and Zoe Kravitz)

(Adriana Lima, Sophie Turner,Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge)

I'm so jealous! I wanted to be there too! ahah
