Brits, my love

This period is so full of events and awards that I can't keep up with all of them but I love this time! There are such glamorous outfits, events and performances! and speaking of witch... Tonight there was the Brits!!
As you may notice I have a little (be honest, it's huge) crush on Britain. I don't know why, but I love England and most of the british actors, singers, personalities or bloggers are amazing to me.
Maybe because of their charming accent!

By the way.. Brit Awards! My favourite performaces were Taylor Swift with “Blank Space” even if she was scheduled to perform her latest single "Style" (hint hint to Harry), the Grammy awarded Sam Smith with “Lay Me Down”, the amazing  Ed Sheeran with “Bloodstream” and my Take That with "Let in the sun". Ahh Take That! I loved them since I was 4 years old and that means that I was a crazy fangirl since a very early stage.. ahah. My mum always remember me how I was crazily singing to Relight my fire, which was little bit inapropriate for a child! ahah

Taylor on the red carpet wore an amazing Roberto Cavalli Atelier dress, Charlotte Olympia shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, but during the performance she wore Kaufmanfranco with Christian Louboutin booties and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

However, the nominations were a lot!
For the British male solo category won Ed Sheeran who also won for the best British album with his latest X , for the British female solo won Paloma Faith.

For the British group won Royal Blood , British breaktrough  won the revelation and Grammy awarded Sam Smith.

For the best British Single with Capital won  Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars with ‘Uptown Funk", that song is captivating!
The british video of the year was won by my beloved One Direction with "You and I", who sent their record label "dad" Simon Cowell to take the award since they are in Japan for their On the Road again tour.

For the International group category won the Foo Fighters and for the International Female and Male won Taylor Swift and Pharell Williams respectively.

But we should talk about Madonna's performance! She performed "Living for Love" but at the beginning of the song she fell! Poor Madonna!

The highlight of the night for me was seeing my childhood icona: the Spice Girls, or at least two of them. Sporty Spice aka Mel C and Baby Spice aka Emma Bunton. Oh, they're so grow-up!
I think I molted their tape whrn I was little! ahah I literally loved them!

The best dressed for this occasion was Rita Ora, who was nominated for Best British Video with "I Will Never Let You Down”. Rita wore a gorgeous shimmery gold jumpsuit by Zuhair Murad.

 That's all for now

Fifty Shades of... Critics?

On Thursday I went to the cinema to finally see the highly anticipated movie "Fifty Shades of Grey".
Three years ago I read all the trilogy and I loved it, especially the first book.
I found myself in a lot of the features of the main female character; maybe that's why I liked it so much, because I saw myself in her.
So, I was really interested how the director will transposed the book into a film.

I just was a little bit concerned about the casting of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele because at the beginning it was chosen Charlie Hunnam and yes, he's extremely hot, great body but he hadn't the Grey's appeal.

Then, Charlie dropped the part and it was chosen Jamie Dornan. My Jamie! I was already a fan of him since I saw him as Graham, the Huntsman in Once Upon a Time. Then I followed him with the irish drama The Fall. He is such a great actor, in fact in The Fall he masterly played the part of a serial killer and he also made him be loved and appreciated, which is weird for a serial killer! Who would love a serial killer like Paul Spector? Well.. me!

For Anastasia it was chosen Dakota Johnson, who I didn't really know, well.. I didn't know her at all, except from the fact that she was the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson.
I was so much curious to see how they would give life to these two great and complex characters.
At the beginnig I didn't have so much expectations but it was nice! Jamie was beyond perfect and I was pleasantly surprised about Dakota's performance.

The film was funny, extremely sensual and sexy but also tragic at the end. In my opinion if you didn't read the book you can't fully understand how are developing the facts of the story. Why Anastasia is going to interview Mr Grey on behalf of her friend? After the interview was she thinking about him?
To me the main part missing in the film is the interior Ana and her thoughts. They should have include a voice-over of what she was thinking.

To me the film was nice and it wasn't too "hard", but I read a lot of reviews that said the opposite. There are a lot of people that loved the film others hated it! A lot of people think that the books and also the film encourage and support domestic violence, submission and abuse of women. In my opinion is just a story written with some particular characters, that's why it became so famous; because it's new and it's not the classic romantic love story. It's something more. In my opinion the story doesn't encourage violence but it shows that a woman if she's not comfortable with a man or a story can freely walk away like Ana does at the end.

Ana was not forced to do anything, because she decided to get involved with a man like Christian and no one pushed her into his arms except herself.
Even if I wouldn't like a love story like this, I think that I would have act exactly like Anastasia; and I think that a lot of women would have act like her, because there's nothing wrong in being fascinated by a man like him (I know, I might sound a little bit superficial but who would resist to a young, rich and handsome man like him? I would literally fall for him immediately) and there's nothing wrong in trying something new knowing that you can leave when you want.

At the end I believe that Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director, made a great job in transposing the book into a film. Due to the amount of sex in the book maybe I would have wanted  a little bit more of that and a little bit of enchantment for the first time of Anastasia, but for the rest I think it was nice.

The soundtrack of Fifty Shades of Grey is amazing! Starting from Annie Lennox with I put a spell on you, through Earned it by The Weeknd, passing to Love me like you do by Ellie Goulding, finishing with Haunted and the new remix of the Queen, Beyoncè.

Dear Bafta, dear Grammys..

Last night was a one of the biggest night of the year: they call them the british and the music oscars respectively, but in the same night? Why? Too much to handle!

I begin with my beloved british people and the BAFTA! I should say that this year the wives of the male partecipants, won! They wore the best outfits and they were simply stunning!
Sophie Hunter, the pregnant fiancee of Benedict Cumberbatch, was simply beautiful with her black dress matching the black tuxedo of her husband-to-be.
I loved the glittery dress of Hannah Bagshaw, newly wife of the best leading actor Eddie Redmayne. It's amazing.
And then we arrive to Sam Claflin's wife, Laura Haddock and her stunning Ashli Couture gown. So dreamy!

Should we talk about the amount of really good looking men present at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts?? Yes, we should!
We start from the young Romeo from Romeo and Juliet's movie, Douglas Booth (which for the record I met 2 years ago during the filming. So adorable!), passing though Superman, Henry Cavill and finishing with a masterpiece of fashion and soccer, the evergreen, David Beckham.
I really appreciated both the modern tuxedo of Douglas and the classical ones of Henry and David.

Let's pass to the women! Stunning women!
The frech actress and next bond girl Lea Seydoux wore an amazing canary yellow Prada gown.
In my opinion is has a really retro taste and it's so elegant but it was made modern through the cuts on the sides.

Another beautiful dress was the one of Lara Pulver. She wore a total white outfit with little feathers. I found it really nice.

To me the best dressed of the Bafta, was Natalie Dormer, the Anne Boleyn of the Tudors and princess Margaery Tyrell of Game of Thrones. Natalie was wearing a Sophia Kah dress, Casadei shoes, and Yoko London jewels. She perfectly wore also a pair of matching blue lace gloves which I found really particular.

Plus, these two handsomes blew a kiss directly from the awards.. Thank you Chris and Henry!

And then the Grammys! The american music "Oscars"!
I must admit that I wasn't so impressed by a lot of outfits but there were some good pieces of fashion.
Meghan Trainor wore a gorgeous black and brown sheer gown by Galia Lahav; I loved the the sheer and lace.

Jessie J wore a sexy black Ralph and Russo dress with a touch of sparkly and trasparency that shows her long legs.

Lady Gaga was super posh with her silver dress from Brandon Maxwell.

Gwen Stefani and Anna Kendrik chose a total black look, which is always good!
Gwen wore an Atelier Versace jumpsuit and Anna wore Band of Outsiders suit, Jimmy Choo shoes, Venyx World jewelry, Jacquie Aiche and Uma K rings, and Ferragamo clutch. To me, these outfits were some of the best.

Kat Graham wore a stunning Yanina Couture gown, Sophia Webster shoes, a Swarovski clutch, Carrera y Carrera rings, and AS29 earrings.

Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson and Chrissy Teigen chose a white outfit and they were wonderful.
Ariana wore a Versace white and silver dress, Jennifer wore a Tom Ford dress, DSquared2 shoes, Jimmy Choo bag, and jewels by Casa Real, Jorge Adeler, and Jack Vartanian. Chrissy opted for a white a revealing dress from Gucci.

Taylor Swift wore an amazing turquoise Elie Saab dress, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Lorraine Schwartz earrings and ring, and Ofira pave bands.

The first prize for the best dressed, to me, goes to Rihanna with her breath taking Giambattista Valli's haute couture dress! I loved it so much! I also talked about this dress here.

And finally also a man! John Mayer was so handsome with his dark blue and black tuxedo. He also performed "Thinking out Loud" with Ed Sheeran.

We should highlight also the infamous Kanye West for jokingly try to interrup the award of Beck like he did with Taylor Swift years before.

 That's all for now
