I'm back! Again! Sorry but I just graduated in a master and things were so chaotic!! I had to finish my thesis and had to deal with my careless professor supervisor.
BTW, recently I was thinking that in the past 2 years I was still listening to the same set of songs, with some temporary obsession for some catchy songs which passed after a couple of weeks.
I felt like lately music was always the same, nothing new, same patterns, same bases... in other words, boring!!
However, in the last couple of weeks, I've rediscovered some artists that I forgot about and also discovered some nice new songs from fresh singers, which is nice! It's always nice explore different music! It's refreshing! Sometimes we're stucked with some songs that just remind us sad or bad things and automatically we feel that way. But sometimes, new music can bring that new energy and can affect our mood in a good or bad way, it depends.
Thanks to a playlist that I heard on BBC Radio 1 I've discovered some new songs that right now are stucked in my head!
The first is the debut single of Harry Styles and the other one is the new song by John Mayer, "Still feel like your man".
Talking about Harry Styles, who came right from a band and now he's working as a solo artist, I was thinking about all those singers that reached fame through a band or group and then start a solo career, leaving behind their band mates and becoming a super star.

5 years, 5 boys
Unfortunately they didn't won, but they gained a lot of fans that supported them till now.
I can say that in five years they became one of the biggest boy band in the world after the great splendour of the 90's bands.
After the X Factor Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles aka One Direction began to perform in little concerts that soon became big concerts in even bigger arenas and stadiums with an enormous amount of fans.
I still remember the first time I saw their first video "What makes you beautiful", I thought "Ugh, another boy band of teenagers! But their song is nice". I wasn't a fan but I liked their songs when I randomly listened to them.
While I was listening to their songs, they were becoming each days more and more famous.
They went through dramas, girlfriends, awards, concerts, tours, gossip, fake rumors and all but they're still here.

Last year I randomly listened to the first song of their new album, "Night Changes", after the first listening I couldn't stop! That night I listened to all their new album Four and I loved all their songs!
I was and I am going through a really tough time and listen to them help me, they relax me even if they're targeted as a band for teenager girls. I can't help but I like them, because they're a source of positivity and freshness.
It's amazing see how many fans they have all over the world, and OMG how loud ad crazy (in a good way) they are!!
One Direction, till now, won 188 awards, they made 4 tours, 4 perfums, 4 albums, 12 music videos, 72 songs and 15 singles.
They've lost one member through their trip but they're still together. 4 months ago, Zayn decided to take a break and then leave the band to take care of himself. But some fans took his decision like a betrayal and others tried to understand their idol. It was a really big drama for the fandom.. and you can't imagine how many fanfictions came out! It was insane!
Sometimes their fans go so crazy that no one can explain why they are so frantic and hysterically happy!
Some tried to explain what happens in a fan's brain when she/he listens to One Direction.
Can you imagine how much the fandom freaked out yesterday when Liam wrote a tweet thanking the boys and Zayn? And Zayn replied!
The fans were on fire!
Should we say that beyond their singing skills, they are also so lucky that they are really good looking young men? I can say so. I mean.. Look at them!! Look at them!!!!!
Personally I am a Harry's girl so I freak out just for news about him. (OMG, why did I just say that?? You're no more a teenager Carol!)
And they're also funny!! Full package, girls!
I live in Verona and I still remember all the screaming coming from the Arena. It was crazy! Unfortunately at the time I liked them but I wasn't a fan so I didn't go to the concert.
They also seem to care to each other a lot, in fact they call each other brother. How cute!
One Direction has a really big potential and they are "exploiting" it very well even if one of the member left.
Now they are the OT4 with many more years to come!!!
But most of all, we need to admit that everyone likes One Direction! How is it possible you never jump and dance to one of their songs? Come on, you can tell me.. ;)
Thats' all for now
Talk to you soon

The one that got away
Last Wednesday it seemed that all the fan world stopped. On Wednesday Zayn Malik from One Direction left the band and that day everyone, literally everyone talked about it! It's amazing how much One Direction are famous that even not fans heard the news and talked about it!
But let's take a few steps back.. the evergreen Beatles, one of the most popular and influential band in the 60's, passed through the same situation. They became a legend because it was the first time in history that a musical group brought fans' hysteria. Like every famous band there were a lot of rumors about their forthcoming split and then in 1969 John Lennon informed his band mates that he was leaving and then in 1970 Paul McCartney announced that he was quitting the Beatles too. I can't immagine the hysterical desperation of all the fans!
Shall we pass to my first boy band love in the world? Yes! My Take That! Yes, I was 4 years old and I was obsessed with them! My mum always tell me how I was madly in love with them and I tried to sing their songs at the radio while my dad was driving. Even today I remember perfectly Sure and Relight my Fire or my favourite Back for Good.
You can imagine how sad I was when Robbie Williams left the band. Ok, he had drug issues but my mum couldn't tell me he left because of that!
However, even if Robbie left, Take That continue their career as a four-piece band but in 1996 they split. After the announcement lots of fans were deeply upset about the split and some of them also threatened suicide or they broke into tears for weeks. This massive sadness was not only in the UK but also around the world and it was so widespread!
Ten years later, they reunited, for my joy, and they were so amazing!
And now my favourite girl band: the Spice Girls! OMG! I was really crazy about them and I had t-shirts, pencils and a diary with them!
I can say I was a really young fangirl! ahah
I think I melted the tape of their first album and my dad heavy walkman, in fact I listened to it like thousand times per day! I locked myself in my room inventing little new and strange dance moves listening to Wannabes non-stop. I believe me, I passed through all the "Geri is fat" and "Victoria can't sing" dramas and I was so a posh spice girl!
In 1998 when Geri decided to leave the group I was shocked and angry thinking "how she can leave us like that?". She said that she was suffering from exhaustion and wanted to take a break but as a 7-year-old girl I couldn't understand. However, the Spice Girls continue their american tour and they never broke up officially.

Here we are today, with Zayn leaving One Direction. I must admit that, even if I'm 23, I love One Direction! Since they begin their career I always had a look on them and their really nice songs but I never appreciated them as lately.
In these years I loved some of their songs but since their latest album came out I never appreciated them fully.
Four for me was a revelation! I literallu loved this album from Night Changes, passing through Girl Almighty, to Change your Ticket or No Control. I know every single song and I begin to listen to their previous albums!
I really started to appreciated also the boys, they seem to be kind and nice. Even if I am a Harry-girl when I read the statement of Zayn, I was sad. I don't know why, but I was.
Zayn took a pause from their world tour just few weeks before because of stress issues, then he left because he wanted to be a normal 22-year-old boy but according to the Sun, Zayn is going to start a solo career. Wasn't it easier to say it before?
However I hope that the Harry, Niall, Liam and Louis continue their career because I really like them and their music.
One Direction have a huge international fandom so you can imagine how desperate the fans are right now. Liam had to write a tweet to ensure all the deep desperation of the fans who cried their eyes out after the official announcement.
How crazy is this feeling of loss when something happens to your favourite band, or singer, or actor?
How we arrive to be so attached to people that don't even know we exist?
This is really mysterious in my eyes but I am in that weird tunnel too.
How hard is life for a fangirl/boy? So hard!
That's all for now
Talk to you soon

Brits, my love
This period is so full of events and awards that I can't keep up with all of them but I love this time! There are such glamorous outfits, events and performances! and speaking of witch... Tonight there was the Brits!!
As you may notice I have a little (be honest, it's huge) crush on Britain. I don't know why, but I love England and most of the british actors, singers, personalities or bloggers are amazing to me.
Maybe because of their charming accent!
By the way.. Brit Awards! My favourite performaces were Taylor Swift with “Blank Space” even if she was scheduled to perform her latest single "Style" (hint hint to Harry), the Grammy awarded Sam Smith with “Lay Me Down”, the amazing Ed Sheeran with “Bloodstream” and my Take That with "Let in the sun". Ahh Take That! I loved them since I was 4 years old and that means that I was a crazy fangirl since a very early stage.. ahah. My mum always remember me how I was crazily singing to Relight my fire, which was little bit inapropriate for a child! ahah
Taylor on the red carpet wore an amazing Roberto Cavalli Atelier dress, Charlotte Olympia shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels, but during the performance she wore Kaufmanfranco with Christian Louboutin booties and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
However, the nominations were a lot!
For the British male solo category won Ed Sheeran who also won for the best British album with his latest X , for the British female solo won Paloma Faith.
For the British group won Royal Blood , British breaktrough won the revelation and Grammy awarded Sam Smith.
For the best British Single with Capital won Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars with ‘Uptown Funk", that song is captivating!
The british video of the year was won by my beloved One Direction with "You and I", who sent their record label "dad" Simon Cowell to take the award since they are in Japan for their On the Road again tour.
For the International group category won the Foo Fighters and for the International Female and Male won Taylor Swift and Pharell Williams respectively.
But we should talk about Madonna's performance! She performed "Living for Love" but at the beginning of the song she fell! Poor Madonna!
The highlight of the night for me was seeing my childhood icona: the Spice Girls, or at least two of them. Sporty Spice aka Mel C and Baby Spice aka Emma Bunton. Oh, they're so grow-up!
I think I molted their tape whrn I was little! ahah I literally loved them!
The best dressed for this occasion was Rita Ora, who was nominated for Best British Video with "I Will Never Let You Down”. Rita wore a gorgeous shimmery gold jumpsuit by Zuhair Murad.
