Paris Holds the Key (To Your Heart)

It's Haute Couture time again! This year's collections' vibes are very interesting. Of course, there are some collections that I didn't like bery much, but I was positively impressed by few. I have to say that big designers such as Dior and Dolce & Gabbana were quite disappointing. I feel like they are starting to be repetitive with the inspirations for their collections. In my opinion their inspiration is the same in the last couple of collection and they just give some different vibe.
However, let's pass to the collections that were amazing for this next season!

Let's start with Rodarte, which is a brand that in my eyes was always "too complicated" but with this collection they won! The concept is simple but amazing! I love Rodarte's woman with soft and light dresses made of lace, sheer and pale pink colours. The must for this collection are definitely ruffles! But the most beautiful detail was the boa made of flowers on the shoulders.

Monique Lhuiller is always very elegant. I really liked the fact that she combined different elegant women together: from the younger one with frills, see throughs, ruffles and sheer to the more mature one with long gown with a skirt made of feathers, a total black tuxedo or floral jumpsuit with pussycat bow.

Schiaparelli surprised me this year. This is another designer that I've never understand much, but this collection is amazing. I really enjoyed the colours' spectrum which goes from white and black to the deepest colour's of a wonderful summer sunset. The lines took inspiration from the 60's shapes with short cut jackets and minidresses, but with an addition od delicate fabrics, long light and soft dresses with space for see-through sheer gowns and dresses with ruffles.

Giambattista Valli, yes! Finally! After a couple of very disappointing collections, Giambattista is back with beautiful creations! The collections was made of colourful minidresses with corsets or long trains, floral details on see-through fabrics, ruffles, ruches, delicate silk gowns or imperial dresses. But the thing I liked the most was the actual ballet flats instead of heels. I loved it!

I think Ulyana Sergeenko had a really precise inspiration for this collection: rich russian widower of 50's.. and I loved it!! It's so nostalgic and elegant! Long white or black dresses with cur stole to match, beret and long wool thick coats and super sexy tight dresses with deep v-necks and fur collar are the must of the collection. The make up and hair were a very inspired touch to finish the mood of the collection. Amazing!

Alexandre Vauthier's collection is very glamour and sexy. The main colours of the collection are black, white and different shades of purple and lilac. The inspiration for Alexandre Vauthier is a mix of high street and disco fashion from the 80's. The must of this collection are definitely deep v-neck, tears that show legs and sheer shirt with a see-through effect.

Elie Saab created amazing looks for princesses coming directly from Middle Ages, or at least that's the vibe that I feel.
Rich brocades, organza, sheer, beads and pearls' embroideries, silk gowns, velvet, fur collars and shrugs are all over the collection creating beautiful outfits.
The most amazing accessory of this collection is for sure the cape that confers a mysterious and ancient allure to a breath-taking collection.

What do you think about these amazing collections? The best? The worst?

That's all for now

Talk to you soon
