Couture by Trevi Fountain
I know, I'm so so so late for this, but Haute Couture deserves a post!
Everytime Haute Couture Fashion Week is up, it's like different dreams are brought to life by the designers with their collections.
The Ready to Wear collections are great, but the Haute Couture ones have something special and magical.

La Croisette is waiting for us
Yesterday, Dior presented its Dior Croisiere Collection 2016 in Cannes. The most luxurious and glamour croisette of Europe. Dior presented its pre-spring/summer collection in order to give a preview of the upcoming November complete collection to the fashion's lovers.
The Croisiere Collection was shown at Palais Bulle on 11th of May, in Theoule sur Mer, Cannes. In my opinion Cannes is a really appealing place with all its famous brands' shops, all the fancy and elegants restaurant and the Casino but when I went there last month I was a little bit disappointed, I don't know why. Maybe because it was cloudy and it was Easter but I didn't feel the sparkle! I always wanted to go there but it was not as I believed, unfortunatelly. However, I strongly believe that if you are invited to the Film Festival or to a high-level fashion show, you will see the other side of Cannes and not the tourist one.

Lately, Dior, always give me the impression of dawing its inspiration from the 60's/70's fashion trends.
It took the old trends remodernizing them with shiny tech fabrics, strange colour matches, tight waists with peplums and curves. I found the collection quite young and not too much demanding.
I liked the crochet skirts and the fisherman net fabric with which they made miniskirts and tank tops.
The thing that I liked the most was the "done on purpose" imprecise hems of the skirts and dresses. It gave a crafty effect on the collection.

I really appreciated the checked pattern or the typical 70's flower pattern of the fabrics. The collection passed from stripes, glitter, checked pattern to flowers and fisherman nets and fur collars.
My favourite pieces of the collection were the black modern taylored suits and the minidresses with folded skirt and shorts.

Zoe Kravitz aka the It Girl was invited at the show with the actresses Teresa Palmer, Dakota Fanning, as well as Prince Harry's ex girlfriend Cressida Bonas and the Oscar winner and gorgeous actress Marion Cottilard.

That's all for now
Talk to you soon
Carol
