Celine, Icon of Style

Sooo, I would like to talk about a celebrity who recently came back under the spotlights. It's Celine Dion! Oh I've always loved her! I remember my mum listening to her music on and on and of course I learned all the lyrics.
After her world wide success for the soundtrack of Titanic with "My heart will go on", she rode the wave of the moment with a lot of catchy and great songs and she gained a residency show in Las Vegas.
But now she's back! She has a world tour and she became a fashion icon! The outfits and looks that she sports recently are amazing!! From haute couture to a more casual fashion.

Paris Holds the Key (To Your Heart)

It's Haute Couture time again! This year's collections' vibes are very interesting. Of course, there are some collections that I didn't like bery much, but I was positively impressed by few. I have to say that big designers such as Dior and Dolce & Gabbana were quite disappointing. I feel like they are starting to be repetitive with the inspirations for their collections. In my opinion their inspiration is the same in the last couple of collection and they just give some different vibe.
However, let's pass to the collections that were amazing for this next season!

Couture by Trevi Fountain

I know, I'm so so so late for this, but Haute Couture deserves a post!
Everytime Haute  Couture Fashion Week is up, it's like different dreams are brought to life by the designers with their collections.
The Ready to Wear collections are great, but the Haute Couture ones have something special and magical.

La Vie en.. Haute Couture

Yes!! Haute Couture!! Haute Couture is literally the translation of our dream into fashion.
This Paris Fashion Week was pure genius and elegance! I really don't know which designer was the best because they outdid themselves. From Versace through Chanel and Dior and up until Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad.

A Breath of Spring

From Milan to Paris.. Here we are again for the best Ready To Wear collections of  Paris Fashion Week.
Paris is one of the best locations for fashion, for example, Dior expressed itself creating a floral covered dome in the courtyard of the museum of Louvre. It was such a clever idea for the S/S  rtw colletions: in the middle of fall you can find a breath of spring made by a waterfall of blue and purple flowers in the middle of Paris.

C'est trés couture

Here we go again! Thank goodness, because I never get enough of haute couture!
And you know what? I'll go to Paris next week!! Unfortunately not this week, which is the haute couture's fashion week because I have the last exams at the university. MEH
This week a lot of great maisons show their collections such as Versace, Giambattista Valli, Dior, Chanel and many more.

With this collection Chanel tend to be fiercer with some leather, lace and large shoulder pads. The inspiration is the classic Coco's trailleur with the cute little ribbon on the neck and classic fabrics, in contrast with new modern materials, leather, paillettes and sequin but also bright colours like emerald and coral.
I noticed that there is also a 1920's inspirations for the dresses that have a sort of charleston's line.

Chanel, put on a show, like the last time with Brasserie Gabrielle, this time in the middle of the catwalk there was a casino with a celebrities as players, as Julianne Moore, Vanessa Paradis and her daughter Lily Rose Depp, Kristen Stuart, Rita Ora and Lily Collins.

Dior proposed a very elegant collection with long gowns, wide coats and little cute dresses.
The french designer opted for an unusual coat diveded in two: a traditional sleeve and a clok one. Really particular! Let's talk about the shoes.. actually I don't like them really much but I bet they're confortable because of the big plateau.

Alberta Ferretti chose the Baroque and fresco's inspiration but also very romantic dresses' shapes. Some dresses are almost imperial with gold elaborate details.

Giambattista Valli presented his collection.. dreamy as always!
The main colours were black, white, pink and shot of bright colour.
I loved the flowers, the tulle and the round sunglasses. So chic!

Giorgio Armani Prive was the essence of elegance. Taylored suits and dresses going from pink, fuchsia, through purple, blue to black and sparkling.

Elie Saab couldn't be missing in Paris! His collection is just.. WOW! So elegant, so chic, so bright and amazingly taylored! He is literally the designer for princesses because he makes dream come true on dresses' form!

My favourite collection this season surprisingly was Versace! Donatella designed an amazing haute couture collection. I literally loved the flower crown and head bands, the pastel colours and whide sleeves' style. The inspiration is coming from music festivals, chic groupie girls, hippies and nymphs. OMG I loved this collection so much! The only details that I didn't appreciated a lot were the shoes.. these boots and sandals with high plateau don't convince me much.
Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner, Doutzen Kroes and Joan Smalls walked for this incredible collection. Karlie is literally perfection!

After the fashion shows, Vogue organized a Gala with a lot of celebrities at Palais Galliera in Paris.
Actresses, singers and models attended the fashion show and parties like Clemence Poesy, Emily Blunt, Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend, Lupita Nyong'o, Bar Refaeli, Natasha Poly and Naomi Campbell.

Rosie Huntington-Whitley and Irina Shayk rocked different outfits during the days.

Lancome organized the 80th Anniverisary Party of the house inviting all its testimonials going from Isabella Rossellini, Lupita Nyong'o, through Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz to Kate Winslet.

AHHHH I wish I was there!! However I can't complain.. Next week I will be in Paris for a couple of days! YAY!

That's all for now

Talk to you soon
