Stuck in the mud

One of the event where you can have the time of your life, I think, it's definitely the Glastonbury Music Festival!
Despite the mud, the tons of mud, you can have so much fun, listening and dancing to a lot of gigs of the most popular and famous artists.
Glastonbury is so famous and fun that a lot of celebrities can't refuse at least a day there!
This year the festival was just after the results of the UE referendum that Uk demanded.. and "brexit" won. A decision that will affect everyone, not only the young british people and the you could feel the disappointment also at Glasto.
But let's talk about this another time!

Days of Fashion and Glamour

On  the 1st June the CFDA Fashion Awards took place at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City. The CFDA is the Council of Fashion Designers of America, who is promoting mostly american fashion but also international designers. Each year this organization honours various designer as excellent fashion personalities. The CFDA is also called the "Oscars of Fashion", so we can expect great designers and great outfits!

Amanda Seyfried chose thise eclectic dress from Rodarte and vertiginous Christian Louboutin sandals.

Taraji P Henson wore a gorgeous burgundy Vera Wang Collection dress and Astley Clarke jewels.

Diane Kruger wore this black and red Prabal Gurung dress with an Edie Parker bag.

Juliette Lewis chose this simple white top with a beautiful wispy long feather shirt designed by Christian Siriano.

Lily Aldridge  wore this dark navy blue Thakoon dress with a deep tear that showed her long legs wih Tabitha Simmons shoes and Lee Savage clutch.

Chrissy Teigen chose a long  delicate white dress with a Swarovski clutch.
But during the after party Krissy had a wardrobe malfunction and her slit ripped so much higher!

Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice (aka still my favourite spice) wore a black dress of her own design. She's always so posh!

Katharine McPhee chose this outfit with a Paule Ka top and skirt, Rene Caovilla shoes, Amanda Wakeley vest, Lee Savage clutch, and Marina B jewels.

January Jones wore this burgundy and black satin jumpsuit by J.Mendel.

Joan Small chose a white custom-made Calvin Klein Collection dress. That deep neckline is perfect for this dress.

Kim Kardashian, who recently annouced her second pregnancy, wore a custom-made black dress by Proenza Schouler. Really particular dress with nice white details.
That evening, Kim's dress, which was mainly sheer with some cutouts and feathers and fringe on her shoulders caught on fire!! Fortunatelly Pharrell and his wife saved her!

Natasha Poly chose this stunning orange-red gown by Michael Kors. This outfit is one of my favourite of the nignt!

Emmy Rossum wore a  sparkling Dion Lee dress, Paul Andrew pumps, Eva Fehren jewels, and a Lee Savage clutch.

Nina Dobrev wore a Lela Rose dress, Kurt Geiger shoes, H.Stern earrings, and a Lee Savage clutch.

Karlie Kloss wore a red and black long dress by Diane von Furstenberg. I really appreciated the fact that Karlie decided to wear some silver flats instead of the usual heels! Good choice!

Gigi Hadid chose a gold and sparkling jumpsuit by Michael Kors. So beautiful!

Vanessa Hudgens, who is busy with her Broadway's show Gigi, wore this elegant Sachin & Babi dress. I love this dress!

My absolute favourite outfit of the night was the singer Janelle. She wore this fantastic Tadashi Shoji cape, Christian Louboutin shoes, Edie Parker clutch, with jewels by Lorraine Schwartz and OFIRA. Just wow!

The CFDA Awards were also attended by the Olsen sisters Ashley and Mary Kate who wore satin total black outfits and nice flats and slippers.

One of the host of the awards was my beloved british comedian James Corden, who presented Kim Kardashian.

This year Instagram participated at the awards because the app had a great impact on fashion recently.
Here the creator of Instagram with Gigi Hadid and Joan Small.

The night was attended also by the elegant designer Tom Ford, Kanye West and Pharell Williams, who was honoured with the fashion Icon Award, which is given to someone, whose style has impacted pop culture on a wide scale.

On the 2 June in London took place the 2015 Glamour Women Of The Year Awards held at Berkeley Square Gardens.
For the night Kerry Washington chose a David Koma top and skirt with EFFY and EF Collection jewels, and carrying an Edie Parker clutch.
Kate Hudson wore J. Mendel burgundy dress with a Jimmy Choo clutch and she rocked a tight bun.
Rosie Huntington-Whitley chose a satin red orange Cushnie Et Ochs dress, Brian Atwood heels, and Jennifer Meyer jewels.

Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson aka Little Mix opted for a look total red but in different styles. Nice!

Suki Waterhouse wore this incredible black gown by Elie Saab with a gold waist belt.

Jameela Jamil wore this mini white dress by NastyGal with a gold belt and matching white platforms from Asos to complete her outfit.

Maisie Williams aka Aria Stark from Game of Thrones chose a super-cute preppy Lavish Alice separates. How cute is her bag?

The Youtubers couple Jim Chapman and Tanya Burr attended the event last night. Jim wore a Louis Vuitton's suit and Alfred Dunhill's shoes. Tanya chose this adorable Alice & Olivia dress with little zebra's details on her skirt. So cute!!!

Calvin Harris, who looked so handsome in his Emporio Armani suit, was honoured with Man of the Year Award last night.

That's all for now

Fifty Shades of... Critics?

On Thursday I went to the cinema to finally see the highly anticipated movie "Fifty Shades of Grey".
Three years ago I read all the trilogy and I loved it, especially the first book.
I found myself in a lot of the features of the main female character; maybe that's why I liked it so much, because I saw myself in her.
So, I was really interested how the director will transposed the book into a film.

I just was a little bit concerned about the casting of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele because at the beginning it was chosen Charlie Hunnam and yes, he's extremely hot, great body but he hadn't the Grey's appeal.

Then, Charlie dropped the part and it was chosen Jamie Dornan. My Jamie! I was already a fan of him since I saw him as Graham, the Huntsman in Once Upon a Time. Then I followed him with the irish drama The Fall. He is such a great actor, in fact in The Fall he masterly played the part of a serial killer and he also made him be loved and appreciated, which is weird for a serial killer! Who would love a serial killer like Paul Spector? Well.. me!

For Anastasia it was chosen Dakota Johnson, who I didn't really know, well.. I didn't know her at all, except from the fact that she was the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson.
I was so much curious to see how they would give life to these two great and complex characters.
At the beginnig I didn't have so much expectations but it was nice! Jamie was beyond perfect and I was pleasantly surprised about Dakota's performance.

The film was funny, extremely sensual and sexy but also tragic at the end. In my opinion if you didn't read the book you can't fully understand how are developing the facts of the story. Why Anastasia is going to interview Mr Grey on behalf of her friend? After the interview was she thinking about him?
To me the main part missing in the film is the interior Ana and her thoughts. They should have include a voice-over of what she was thinking.

To me the film was nice and it wasn't too "hard", but I read a lot of reviews that said the opposite. There are a lot of people that loved the film others hated it! A lot of people think that the books and also the film encourage and support domestic violence, submission and abuse of women. In my opinion is just a story written with some particular characters, that's why it became so famous; because it's new and it's not the classic romantic love story. It's something more. In my opinion the story doesn't encourage violence but it shows that a woman if she's not comfortable with a man or a story can freely walk away like Ana does at the end.

Ana was not forced to do anything, because she decided to get involved with a man like Christian and no one pushed her into his arms except herself.
Even if I wouldn't like a love story like this, I think that I would have act exactly like Anastasia; and I think that a lot of women would have act like her, because there's nothing wrong in being fascinated by a man like him (I know, I might sound a little bit superficial but who would resist to a young, rich and handsome man like him? I would literally fall for him immediately) and there's nothing wrong in trying something new knowing that you can leave when you want.

At the end I believe that Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director, made a great job in transposing the book into a film. Due to the amount of sex in the book maybe I would have wanted  a little bit more of that and a little bit of enchantment for the first time of Anastasia, but for the rest I think it was nice.

The soundtrack of Fifty Shades of Grey is amazing! Starting from Annie Lennox with I put a spell on you, through Earned it by The Weeknd, passing to Love me like you do by Ellie Goulding, finishing with Haunted and the new remix of the Queen, Beyoncè.
