The guests' outfits were so on point and amazing that I almost didn't know which were my favourites!
The Emmys are considered the Oscars of the Tv, so the pressure for the perfect dress is really high!
Let's start with one of the highlights of the night.. the man bun of Peter Dinklage.. Ahhh so many Harry-manbun-Styles feelings!! ahah
Jaimie Alexander wore a multicoloured and sparkling long-sleveed gown by Armani Privè Haute Couture.
She was accompanied by her beau Peter Facinelli who was wearing a shirt, bow tie and tuxedo by Armani. They also shared a sweet kiss on the red carpet! Aww
The "Modern Family" stars Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland both rocked two great outfits. Ariel chose a red piece from Romona Keveza matching it with Anne Sisteron Jewelry and Jerome C. Rosseau heels.
Sarah wore an amazing and elegant burgundy gown by Zac Posen.
Taraji P. Henson rocked a sexy see through black custom Alexander Wang gown. Damn, she was hot!
"The Last Man on Earth" actress Kristen Schaal opted for a shimmering blue and black gown by Rubin Singer matching it with Irene Neuwirth jewels.
Parks and Recreation's actress, Aubrey Plaza, instead, chose a classic but really effective black dress by Alexander Vauthier. The only accessory to complete the outfit was a smile! Smile Aubrey!
Heidi Klum broke the rule and tried some bright colour! She rocked a bright yellow Versace dress and she was stunning! Also Mindy Kaling tried some colour for the event and she chose a mustard yellow dress by Salvador Perez with Edie Parker clutch and Neil Lane jewels.
Also Padma Lakshmi and Taylor Schilling chose the yellow! Padma wore a long Romono Keveza gown and Taylor chose a Stella McCartney dress and clutch matched with Niwaka jewels and Stuart Weitzman shoes.
Kiernan Shipka, instead opted for a touch of yellow in her Dior Couture ensemble with Dana Rebecca Design jewelry and Christian Louboutin heels.
Laura Prepon chose a red piece of the collection of Christian Siriano matching with L.K. Bennet shoes.
Julie Bowen opted for a black piece of George Chakra Couture and it's so elegant! She wore it with Brian Atwood shoes and Monica Vinader earrings.
Lady Gaga surprised me with two stunning and super elegant outfits. She wore this amazing white dress by Brandon Maxwell with Brian Atwood shoes and later she rocked another Brandon Maxwell piece but in black. She was simply WOW! She was one of the best dressed!
Viola Davis, for her acceptance speech for the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series, wore a white and black Carmen Marco Valvo gown with Neil Lane jewelry and Stuart Weitzman shoes.
Amanda Peet chose a Michael Kors dress with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.
Lena Headey wore one of the best outfit of the night. She rocked a Zuhair Murad Couture dress with Harry Kotler Platinum Diamond jewelry and Jimmy Choo heels.
Morena Baccarin chose a bright red Reem Acra dress with a Tyler Alexandra clutch, Harry Kotler diamond earrings, Jacob & Co bracelets and Christian Louboutin shoes.
Maggie Gyllenhaal wore my favourite outfit of the event: this amazing but super simple blue and purple Oscar De la Renta dress with Fred Leighton jewels, Ferragamo clutch and Charlotte Olympia heels.
Julienne Hough chose a Marchesa gown matched with Neil Lane jewelry and Jimmy Choo clutch and shoes.
Naomi Watts supported her husband Liev Schreiber, wearing a Christian Dior dress with Bally bag. Jimmy Choo shoes and Bulgary jewelry. Liev, instead sported a Calvin Klein Collection suit.
"Black Orphan" star, Tatiana Maslany, chose a pure white Bouchra Jarrar Couture suit with Fred Leighton jewelry, Sophia Webster shoes and Amanda Pearl clutch.
"Game of Thrones" actresses Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams chose two different types of outfits but both extremely nice. Sophie chose a blue and black Galvan jumpsuit with Jimmy Choo bag and Giuseppe Zanotti heels, Maisie, instead chose a pink quilted midi dress by Ermanno Scervino with fluffy pink sandals and Kwait jewelry.
January Jones wore an emerald Ulyana Sergeenko jumpsuit with Tiffany & Co. jewelry and Stuart Weitzman shoes. In my opinion she was stunning with that jumpsuit!
Christina Hendricks was a bomb of sensuality with her sparkling Naeem Khan dress, Bionda Castana shoes, Loren Stewart rings, Maxior earrings and Charlotte Olympia heels.
Emma Roberts wore a Jenny Packham gown wuth a Lee Savage clutch, Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and Martin Katz jewelry.
Kerry Washington rocked a metallic Marc Jacobs dress with Salvatore Ferragamo clutch, Casadei shoes and amazing Harry Winston jewelry.
Sofia Vergara wore a silver St. John gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Jimmy Choo bag and Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.
"Jane the Virgin" star, Gina Rodriguez opted for a feather white Lorena Sarbu gown which she matched with Judith Leiber clutch, Stuart Weitzman shoes and Forevermark jewels.
Besides all the stunnig dresses, this time there was something more. Viola Davis aka Annalise Keating from How to get Away with Murder was the first woman of colour to win the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series. Her speech was great, so inspiring!
I thinks it's beautiful that women in general and more in specific black women are being recognize for their talents. It's about time!!!
Moreover, on the red carpet was trending the hashtag #askhermore, where journalists were supposed to ask to women more about their careers, their projects, what they think about something instead of the classic question "what are you wearing tonight?". I mean, it's fashion and it's always nice hear something about it but fortunately there's more we can hear from women!
