The Oscars! The most expected event of the year!
The event where the best performances in the cinema scenario are awarded and the best dresses are showed up to the world.

Chris Rock hosted the event this year and as a man of colour he started with a monologue about the debated issue about the lack of black actors and actresses in the nominees at the Oscars. There should be no discrimination about colour or sex in every sector of our lives but most of all in the enterteinment scenario because nowadays it is very important and it influenced a lot our young society that through simple gestures and attitudes can learn that there is not dinstiction, we are all equals no matter the colour of our skin, sex gender or sexual orientation.

Now let's see all the wonderful dresses that all the celebrities chose to show.
Cate Blanchett wore an amazing light blue Armani Privé gown adorned by Swarovski crystals and white feathers, she chose Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Roger Vivier clutch and Tiffany & Co. jewelry. She looked like a magic mermaid.

Speaking of fairytales..Alicia Vikander wore a yellow custom Louis Vuitton gown as she literally brought to life Belle from Belle and the Beast. Alicia won the Oscar for Best supporting actress and before collecting her award she kissed her on-off boyfriend Michael Fassbender. Lucky girl! I always liked Alicia since her role in "A Royal Affair" with Mads Mikkelsen, so I am very happy for the winning!

At the after party Alicia changed her Belle dress with a sleek sequin black dress with a deep neckline by Louis Vuitton.

Michael Fassbender wore a Tom Ford tuxedo, Chopard watch and cuff links.

Brie Larson, who won the Best Leading Actress Oscar wore a deep blue gown by Gucci with a jewel belt.

Saoirse Ronan chose a dark green sequin dress by Calvin Klein Collection with velvet straps, Roger Vivier shoes and Chopard jewelry.

Jennifer Lawrence wore a black lace gown by Dior Haute Couture Collection with Chopard jewelry and Manolo Blahnik shoes.

At the After Party she chose Alexander Wang top and skirt with Christian Louboutin shoes, Anita Ko jewels, and Alexander Wang bag.

Leo!! Finally Leonardo DiCaprio won the Oscar for Best Leading Actor! Yes, Leo! This is your year!
Leo wore a black Giorgio Armani tuxedo, Christian Louboutin shoes and of course... his craved Oscar!




Kate Winslet who accompanied Leo, chose a custom black silk Ralph Lauren dress with Christian Louboutin shoes and Nirav Modi jewels.

 Daisy Ridley chose a super elegant silver Chanel couture gown and custom Jimmy Choo shoes.

Olivia Wilde wore a white Valentino Haute Couture dress with Neil Lane jewelry and Roger Vivier clutch.

Julianne Moore chose a black gown with sparkling straps by Chanel couture with Chopard jewelry.

Rachel McAdams opted for a emerald green silk gown by August Getty with Weitzman shoes and NIwaka jewels.

Eddie Redmayne arrived with his pregnant wife Hannah Bagshawe and they both wore Alexander McQueen. He wore a velvet and silk smoking and his wife Hannah opted for a simple black dress with gold details.

Charlize Theron opted for a red piece by Dior with Harry Winston diamonds and Jimmy Choo shoes.

Rooney Mara chose a white Givenchy couture gown adorned by crystals and pearls.

Naomi Watts chose a shimmering Armani Privé gown with Stuart Weitzman shoes, Bulgari clutch and jewels.

Heidi Klum wore a one sleeve lilac Marchesa gown with a big flower on her shoulder to adorn the outfit.

Lady Gaga chose one of my favourite outfit by Brandon Maxwell with Brian Atwood shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

 


Another great outfit that I loved was Margot Robbie's one, who decided to wear a golden dress by Tom Ford wirh Forevermark jewelry.

 Emily Blunt and the growing baby bump wore a pink Prada gown with tiny jewels all over the dress she embellished the outfit with Niwaka jewelry, Sophia Webster shoes and Judith Leiber clutch.

 Sofia Vergara opted for a navy blue piece by  Marchesa and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Later for the after party she chose a white strapless gown by Mark Zunino with Oroton clutch and Lorraine Schwartz diamonds.


 


Elizabeth Banks wore a caped white crepe jumpsuit by Ralph and Russo Spring/Summer 2016 Couture collection, Jimmy Choo shoes and Judith Leiber clutch and of course Tiffany & Co jewels made by "earrings in platinum with round and baguette diamonds, ring in platinum with round, baguette, and trilliant diamonds, and three-row diamond ring in platinum".

Elizabeth sparkled in Tiffany & Co. jewels – earrings in platinum with round and baguette diamonds, ring in platinum with round, baguette, and trilliant diamonds, and three-row diamond ring in platinum. She finished off her look with Jimmy Choo shoes, a Judith Leiber clutch, and Tiffany and Co. jewels.

Jennifer Garner was stunning in her black Versace gown with Rene Caovilla shoes, Neil Lane jewerly and Salvatore Ferragamo clutch.

Chrissy Teigen chose a Marchesa gown wirh Stuart Weitzman shoes, Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Swarovsku clutch. Her husband John Legend wore a David Yurman cuff links. The Mama-to-be later chose to change her outfit into a black sequin gown by Talbot Runhof, Lorrain Schwartz jewels, Marchesa clutch and Jimmy Choo shoes for the after party.




Kerry Washington opted for a leather and silk Atelier Versace gown and baf with Gianvito Rossi shoes and Harry Winston jewels. For the after party she chose a Versace dress with a very deep neckline and Stuart Weitzman shoes.


 


Taylor Swift wore an Alexander Vauthier gown with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and Jimmy Choo clutch.

Thandie Newton chose a nice silk and lace dress with Jimmy Choo shoes.

Diane Kruger chose a sheer and lace burgundy Reem Acra, Lily Collins wore a stunning gold sequin dress by Saint Laurent and Kate Hudson aimed to the metallic trend with total silver long gown by Maria Lucia Hohan and Oroton clutch.

Then Kate Bosworth and Priyanka Chopra surprised me and chose the best outfits of the night. Kate wore a lilac silk dress with feathers all over her shoulders and Norman Silverman Diamonds earrings.
Priyanka chose an amazing Zuhair Murad dress with Rauwolf clutch, Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Monique Lhullier shoes.

 

Anne Hathaway showed up with her big baby bump in display with a nice Naeem Khan dress with Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, Jimmy Choo clutch, Irene Neuwirth earrings and Forevermark rings.

Now let's pass to the men: Henry Cavill in his Dunhill suit, Sam Smith who won for the best song with a Dunhill tux and the funny James Corden in Burberry tuxedo.

Anne is wearing a Naeem Khan dress, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, a Jimmy Choo clutch, Irene Neuwirth earrings, and Forevermark rings.
