One the main protagonist of the event was Rihanna, who received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and the award was presented by her rumored boyfriend Drake who gave a really emotional speech introducing the singer.
They collaborated in a lot of amazing and successful projects and they love story could be the cherry on top of all that! They are really a nice couple, if the rumor is true!
Rihanna for the occasion wore a pearl white Alexandre Vauthier gown from his Haute Couture collection.
The singer opened the VMAs with her performance of some of her most famous songs like Work and What's my Name. She wore a pink custom Hood By Air number, Lydia Courteille ruby rings and Hearts of Fire diamons necklace.
The choreographies and all the dancers in the background were amazing! Rihanna's performances can definitely spread energy and put you on a good mood!
Another protagonist of the night was Beyoncè! She walked the red carpet with her daughter Blue Ivy in their super gorgeous dresses. So cute!
Bey chose a baby blue Francesco Scognamiglio with a big neck of feathers, Blue instead wore a nude Mischka Aoki dress with a long train and matching Giuseppe Junior trainers.
Beyoncè performed a medley of her latest successful album Lemonade, for which she won the Breakthrough Long Form Video for her visual album. She also won the Video of the Year and the Best Femal Video awards for Formation. She picked her prizes wearing a gold jumpsuit and a cape by Elie Saab Couture and she was simply radiant.
The model Taylor Hill chose a very sexy and sparkling fuchsia dress of Jeremy Scott by Moschino.
Halsey instead wore a Noudar diamond hand chain and Harry Kotlar diamond rings matching her super sparkling tight jumpsuit.
Ashley Graham decided to wear a see through Naeem Khan with long sleeves matching it with Stuart Weitzman sandals and wet effect hair.
Rita Ora chose to me a little bit too rock punk with a lace dress, a fur leather bomber jacket by Marc Jacobs and high platform heels.
She wore also Lorraine Schwartz jewelry and Ofira jewels.
Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj performed their new song Side to Side in all pink outfits. Very girly and sexy!
Ariana then wore a off the shoulders crop tip and silky black slacks by Alexander Wang, matching them with a must have black choker and high pony tail. Nicki chose a blue cut out Bao Tranchi dress with Le Vian diamond rings and Harry Kotlar diamond cluster earrings.
Hailee Steinfeld chose a colourful Balmain dress and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.
Britney Spears chose a classy mood for her outfit without giving up to her sexy side wearing a Julien MacDonald dress with Christian Louboutin shoes and H Stern jewels.
Zara Larsson, the cute little Zara, chose a very classy but at the same time modern little black dress with a sweetheart neck and a peplum skirt, matching the dress with some high heel sandals and slicked back hair do.
