Best dressed 2018

2018 has come to an end and it's time to proclaim the best dressed of the year!

To me the best dressed of 2018 was Tracee Ellis Ross, star of the sit-com Black-ish and daughter of the evergreen diva Diana Ross.

Met Gala 2018

One of the most important event of the year is here!!
The MET Gala this year has a very interesting theme for its guests: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imaginatio, which celebrates the opening of the same name exhibition.

The Gala is hosted by Rihanna, Donatella Versace, Anna Wintour and Amal Clooney.
 I think this theme is very interesting and celebrities can have a wide choice but let's see what they decided to wear on the red carpet.. or better on the red stairs of the Met!

Grammys 2018

From cinema to music, now it's the turn of the Grammys! Even at this event was a great occasion to show the support to women and last night the symbol to represent that was a white rose that a lot of celebrities wore or brought on the red carpet.

Many celebrities showed their support to Times up but the event was criticized for the lack of nominations and awards won by women. It almost was contradiction supporting women but then give all the awards to male artists. I agree with this vision but at the same time I think that it's necessary more time to equal credit between male and female artists.

 Btw, let's talk about fashion now!

Golden Globes 2018

Golden Globes! This year Golden Globes was so important after the big scandal of Harvey Weinstein and the sexual harrasment he perpetuated during all these years to a lot of famous and non-famous actresses.
That's why on the red carpet, celebrities decided to join the cause called Time's up wearing black to demonstrate their support to abused women.
I really liked the idea to bring activits of the movement against womens' abuse as celebrities' dates on the red carpet to raise even more awareness around the world.

Let's talk a little bit about fashion!

All I see is... dresses!

Aaaaand I'm back with Blake Lively and her 8 outfits in a day!!
Of course she's not a doubtful woman but she was promoting her next movie All I See Is You.
In 12 hours she changed 8 oufits and they all are very impressive!

Let's start with a black and white Chanel jumpsuit that she wore with Christian Louboutin pumps and her friend Lorraine Schwartz's jewellery.

Emmys 2017

Between a fashion week and the other we have the Emmy's Awards aka the Oscars of tv!
This year there were so many worthy tv series that guessing who was winning was quite difficult.

Paris Holds the Key (To Your Heart)

 It's Haute Couture time again! This year's collections' vibes are very interesting. Of course, there are some collections that I didn't like bery much, but I was positively impressed by few. I have to say that big designers such as Dior and Dolce & Gabbana were quite disappointing. I feel like they are starting to be repetitive with the inspirations for their collections. In my opinion their inspiration is the same in the last couple of collection and they just give some different vibe.
However, let's pass to the collections that were amazing for this next season!

Man! I feel like a.. man!

 Now it's men's turn! The last couple of weeks, fashion was all about men and what they will wear next spring/summer. From London, passing through Milan, to Paris, the man presented by the designers, took inspiration from past trends.

A cruise in the desert

I like this time of the year, we are in the middle of spring and the Resort and Cruise collection of big brands are released!
This year really big names decided to release their resort collection: Prada, Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
When brands create Resort collections, it's a breath of fresh air in the middle of the traditional A/W and S/S collections.

Men with Fashion manners

A couple of weeks ago, it started the fashion season after  holidays break and it bagan with the men's one.
I know I'm super late, but I had exams at the university but now I'm here for face all the fashion weeks! The London Collection Men is one of my favourite fashion event together with the Haute Couture. Men's fashion is not so boring as it seems..you can find a lot of inspirations and it's fun  to see all those male models.
Men's collections are so good that sometimes I get jealous!

Best dressed of 2015

Finally 2015 ended! I'm really happy that 2015 is behind us because I can say that this year was the worst of my life. I really hope that 2016 will be nicer because I need some rest.
Buuut let's talk about what was good in 2015.. Fashion!
2015 highlighted some personalities with a great taste for what concerns clothes, fashion and style.
 
Selena Gomez was one of them. She developed a very strong and confident style that I appreciate a lot!
She's young and she needs to dress in the right way for her age so her style is modern and a little bit street-chic and then she wears these amazing pieces of high fashion.. wow! That's exactly how I would like to dress daily if I was a little bit more confident about me.

 

 

 

 

Italians do it better

Milan Fashion Week just finished and we are in the middle of the Paris Fashion Week, but let's appreciate a little bit the italian fashion parenthesis.
In Milan there were presented a lot of international brands but it was focused on the italian ones.
We all know that after Paris, Italy is one of the most important country for fashion!

London Collections: Men

This week it took place the London collection: men, four entire days of fashion dedicated to men.
I get a look to the trends and designers want to bring to life and my first thought was that they are reinvented the classic pieces from 60's and 70's.

Tom Ford, in fact brought back the suiting but this year with a slimmer cut. It's good to see the retur of the black and white checkered blazers and jackets matched with white shirts underneath.
I really appreciated the smocking jackets with slim trousers andbow ties. Really chic!

Talking about revisiting classic old fashion, here we are with Margaret Howell and her shearling line. She proposed bombers, coats and overcoats which can be exploited from a cool fall to a harsh winter. If I were a boy (Beyonce feelings), I would love to wear this new trend! These suede coats give this 70's feel that I really love!

I always loved Alexander McQueen and his extravagant collections and this year with Sarah Burton there are no exceptions. I loved the jaquard jackets and suits with floral details. I have to admit that I love skinnt trousers to men, that's way I adore these velvet slim suits matched with long overcoats.

To me the best in this London Collections Men was Burberry Prorsum. It never let you down!
i loved the mix between dark and light/pastel colours. They mixed formal and classic shapes with floral and  leopard prints matched with suede bags and topcoats.But the best piece of this collection was definitely the patterned and monogramed big scarfs. A really interesting men's accessory!

Talking about street style, during the London Collections Men I really appreciated the youtuber Jim Chapman, aka the best dressed man by GQ.
I think that he definitely embodies the perfect style for a men. He wears classic but also casual and modern outfit with a touch of unusual.
