From BAFTAs to Grammys

Last night was full of events: the Grammys at Los Angeles and the Baftas in London.
The Oscars of the music and the British Oscars all in one night but on the opposite side of the world!
From Royal Hall in London to Staples Center in Los Angeles, the celebrities were a lot with a lot of looks, but unfortunately I have to admit that last night was a bit undertone. There weren't outstanding outfits or looks, nothing breath-taking. Maybe because they're holding back for the upcoming Oscars? I really hope so! Because I need to be surprised!!

Let's see the outfits of Baftas!

Everything's Golden!

New year, new events, new awards.. Golden Globes 2016!
And of course it's time to look at all the amazing oufits... some suprised, other disappointed us.

In my opinion there were a lot of great outfits, mainly classic and elegant pieces.

Trick or Treat

The spookiest night of theyear just finished by it left behind a lot of cool costumes we can appreciate!
Usually people try to wear "scary" Hallowen costumes, others want to impress with unsual costumes that, here in Italy we wear in february for our version of Halloween: Carnival!

For Halloween Gwen Stefani decided to be the cutest cowgirl... but with a gunshot in her head! ohhh

It's Tony's turn

It's time to give to theatre some space! Actually the Tonys were originally called the Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theatre. These awards honour achievement in live Broadway theatre and are considered the highest theatre honour. In fact it is the equivalent to the Oscars for films and the Grammys and Emmys for respectively music and television.

The hosts of the Tony Awards were Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming, really expert actors of Broadways. Alan recently played in "Cabaret" and Kristin played in "On the 20th century".
Kristin decided to wear a silver Zac Posen gown, Badgley Mischka shoes, and Eva Fehren jewelry. Alan, instead wore  a custom Lucio Castro suit with short trousers.

Besides all the actors there were also a lot of celebrities who supported theatre and of course they showed off their best outfits.

Patricia Clarkson, who is starring in Elephant Man with Bradley Cooper and seen in a lot of Woody Allen, wore this elegant black dress with printed red roses all over.

Carey Mulligan  wore a simple but very elegant long, plain burgundy gown by Balenciaga.
I liked the round neckline, it's so delicate.
Is just me or she seems pregnant?

Ivanka Trump wore Prabal Gurung with jewels, clutch, and shoes from her own collection.

Amanda Seyfried chose an Oscar de la Renta dress with  Christian Louboutin shoes, and Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Bee Shaffer, daughter of Anna Wintour, wore this sparkly Marc Jacobs dress. Nice!

Bella Hadid, aka Gigi Hadid's sister, wore a Prabal Gurung autumn/w inter 2015 gown. I really liked this dress, so white, so classy, so unwordly.

Bradley Cooper, the protagonist of the play Elephant Man, attended the event with his mother Gloria Campano and his sister Holly Cooper. Bradley wore a custom Salvatore Ferragamo with Johnston + Murphy shoes. How cute is he with the women of his life? So sweet!

Joan Smalls wore Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci autumn/winter 2015 gown.

Beth Bers, aka Carol from 2 Broke Girls chose a light blue Gauri and Nainika dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes, a Judith Leiber clutch, an H Stern ring, and Ippolita earrings.

Kendall Jenner wore a fluffy, pink, backless dress by custom Calvin Klein Collection. Mmm.. no, Kendall, bad choice.

Rose Byrne wore a bright red gown with a deep neckline and details on the shoulders from the Delpozo autumn/winter 2015 collection with Cartier jewels, Brian Atwood shoes, and an Oroton clutch.

Ruth Wilson wore a bespoke Ralph Lauren Collection gown. Tight and casual on the top with a soft and bouncy skirt in this bright fuchsia colour.

Taylor Schilling wore a black, long dress with cutouts by  Michael Kors.

Vanessa Hudgens, protagonist of Gigi, chose a  Naeem Khan spring/summer 2015 gown with Kurt Geiger shoes, a Rodo clutch, and Norman Silverman jewels. She was styled by Natalie Saidi.
During the award she also performed a scene of her musical Gigi.

Elisabeth Moss wore an Oscar de la Renta Resort pre-spring/summer 2016 gown. This dress is one of my favourite: white with a waterfall of colourful flowers.

My top 3 outfits of the night were Helen Mirren, Jennifer Lopez and Emily Ratajkowski.
Helen Mirren, who was nominated best actress for her role in The Audience, wore a Badgley Mischka gown.

Jennifer Lopez chose a Valentino Couture gown, Harry Winston jewels, Christian Louboutin shoes, and a Jimmy Choo clutch. She's just WOW! It reminds me the "Starry Night" from Van Gogh.

Emily wore a navy blue Marc Jacobs gown and  Forevermark jewels. So classy! I love it! She seems a greek goddess.

That's all for now

Talk to you soon
