Couture by Trevi Fountain

I know, I'm so so so late for this, but Haute Couture deserves a post!
Everytime Haute  Couture Fashion Week is up, it's like different dreams are brought to life by the designers with their collections.
The Ready to Wear collections are great, but the Haute Couture ones have something special and magical.

Let's start with Elie Saab, who will be always one of my favourite designer ever. For this collection he envisioned his woman like a 30's diva; so classy, so graceful and sensual.
The collection is sprinkled with a lot of sequins, sparkling, velvet, flowers applications and feather boas to add that diva feelings.

Alexandre Vauthier proposed for his collection a very bold woman. The collection is characterized by black, dark green, gold and white. The dresses and jumpsuits are structured and made tight by a big belt bow on the waist. One of the main accessory of the collection is the belt, made of fabric or a more classic one in leather and studs.

Atelier Versace's collection was characterized by silk and knots of fabric to create wonderful dresses. As Vauthier, this models are intensified by the tightening the waist with belts or knots of silk. The dresses seem to be create directly on the models bodies because their shapes perfectly embrace their curves.

Christian Dior is always very classic creating a black and white collection.
Soft tops with flounces, off-the-shoulders dresses, soft long dresses, taylored jackets and trousers all matched with flat sandals, ideals to downplay the outfit.

Dolce & Gabbana continue with their inspiration coming from the 50's and the south of Italy.
The collection is characterized with a lot of lace, velvet, crowns and roses in the hair, sequins, jewelry and tons of "dolce vita" feelings. D&G keep with this inspiration and is a winning decision because these last collections are amazing.

Fendi proposed a woman that seems coming from a luxurious college for girls. I loved the curly hair with a silk bow in it. The collection is characterised by a lot of velvet and antic colours like pink, brown or light blue but most of all the designers emphasize the models's bodies with empire waistlines dresses.
Fendi decided to surprise everyone this year with a breathtaking location bringing the show exactly in the Trevi fountain in Rome! I think this was perfectly genious! They build a trasparent cat walk inside the fountain giving the illusion that the models were walking on the water. Simply amazing!

Giambattista Valli as always dresses a young chic girl and OMG I can't stop staring at these dresses!! They are super gorgeous! I like the puffy sleeves, the light and impalpable skirts, graceful dresses with trains and wonderful sparkly sandals! I'm in love.. I want them in my wardrobe!

Ralph & Russo opted for a heavenly woman with silk, chiffon and lace dresses with deep tears showing sensual legs, or tight bodysuits with their matching long skirt. This collection proposes a soft shapes that can create an amazing work of art.

Zuhair Murad opted for a darker version of his woman. The main colours of this collection are black, dark red, green and blue, all perfectly used in the creation of these dresses. His inspiration is mainly a chic dark rock star that can't give up on her couture dresses but either on her black soul thanks to capes, hats, tight waist belts and velvet chokers.

What was your favourite collection?
Do you feel more a princess or a dark rock star?
Personally I opt for a mix between the genres!

That's all for now

Talk to you soon
