La Vie en.. Haute Couture

Yes!! Haute Couture!! Haute Couture is literally the translation of our dream into fashion.
This Paris Fashion Week was pure genius and elegance! I really don't know which designer was the best because they outdid themselves. From Versace through Chanel and Dior and up until Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad.

Atelier Versace kept the line of last season with a lot of cutouts, laser cuts, knots and deep rips on long dresses to show legs. Last seson was all about colours, this year is all about white and so splash of bright colours but most of all geometric cuts that show strategic places and laces to tight the fabrics.

Chanel kept its fabric mark and classic tailored tailleurs with longette skirts and short jackets.
The classic Chanel tweed can't be missed in this collection but it was mixed with silk and lace.
The collection wanted to mix classic with modern and re-designed the classic bicolour Chanel shoe with a cork wedge heel, which personally I'm not quite convinced about.

The show was attended by Karl Lagerfeld's It Girl Cara Delevingne wearing Chanel in a chic punk rock way, then Diane Kruger with a mini dress and lace thighs.

Dior opted for black and white and neutral colours. The maison chose different fabrics  and texture to create the bottom part and a precise cuts and shapes for the top.
Dior completed its collections with sheer and lace dresses and pointy heels with bow tied on the ankles.

Giambattista Valli as always dresses hypothetical young princesses and it's amazing!  The main colours are white and pastel with splashes of red. The collection is characterized by embroidered flowers and bow applications all over the mini dresses and long dresses with wide and wispy skirts.

Alexander Vauthier chose a glamour rock vibe for its collection. In fact the collection is characterized by black, white and red with a warm double-breasted coates, one-shoulder lace dresses, military jackets, flouncy or tight long dresses.

Ralph & Russo was a dream! White, baby pink and blue and lavander for the day, navy blue, black and lace for the night. The collection is a mix of ruffles, peplums, long dresses and gown with elegant train. The bride dress is a amazing! So wide, sparkly and full of perls.

Alexis Mabille dressed a mature elegant woman with structered dressed made of smoking jackets and adorned by feathers or lace. Long gowns in lace or sequin net on a neutral strapless slip can be find in this collection, but the best piece of it is the "fumè" jacket made of ruches. So wispy and soft!

Armani Privè concept was light moon in the dark and we can see it from the main colours used in the collection: light lavander and black.
The pieces of the collection are so fresh but at the same time so elegant. I think that this collection could be suitable both for young girls and for mature women.

Elie Saab was amazing like always.. and it's like his models came out from a painting. Silver, white and light blue are the key colours of the collection but the sparkles and lace couldn't be missed, of course.

Valentino's inspiration for its collection were greek vestals with large and long dress in different colours from light brown to bright red. Some pieces are more bold than others with burdundy velvet and gold details or brocade and printed fabrics that confer to the dress an ancient allure. My favourite dresses were the weightless and impalpable white sheer and fabric of some dresses that made the model a real virgin vestal from ancient Greece.  The detail that complete the collection was the golden snake shaped headband that add a great effect to the outfit.

Guo Pei, the designer who dressed Rihanna at the MET Gala, perfectly mixed modern and ancient, occidental and oriental, all in brought to life in pastel colours, sheer and sparkly fabrics and sumptuous and rich textures and fabrics.

Zuhair Murad, instead, took inspiration from fairy and goddesses with a lot of see-through fabrics, flowery sheer and structured crinolines. This collection passed through alla the seasons from spring, summer, through fall and winter.

We need to mention Rita Ora, who was invited to a lot of the Paris' shows (lucky her!) and she looked gorgeous from Ralph and Russo to Atelier Versace!

Haute Couture is so special and magic that everyone whould attend at least a show to be present at a dream made of fabrics, concepts and art!
